It's the 20th anniversary of 'The Island' this week. I always loved the very natural-looking VFX in that film. Also, loved that plates from 'The Island' were re-used in 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon'. Love it.

With 'Final Destination: Bloodlines' in cinemas, here's befores & afters magazine's ode to the infamous logging truck VFX in 'Final Destination 2'. I crawled through Digital Dimension’s old website to find some amazing video and info about how *that scene* was made.

Holey moley - it's the 25th anniversary of #shrek this week. Hats off to the team at PDI who up'd the game in animation so quickly after 'Antz'. Here's a fun collection of some CG model/wireframe/simulation tests from the film.
