Yes I’m disappointed more people didn’t show up for ELIO, yes I’m angry that Disney didn’t promote more, and yes I’m pissed people are not supporting original animation. But I still think there’s some wins here. ELIO has a 80%+ RT score and a 91% audience score, and Elemental got a 73% RT score and a 93% audience score proving that Pixar’s new originals do not have a quality issue. I understand Pixar being pissed that Soul, Luca and Turning Red weren’t pushed back but instead sent to streaming, but those films were massive on Disney Plus and created a new generation of Pixar fans. The media narrative around Pixar hating streaming has caused a lot of fans and the public alike to also look at those films differently. To fix this problem there needs to be a Huge celebration of all the new Pixar Originals from the pandemic and the upcoming ones. Bob Iger and Pete Docter need to go on Good Morning America and say THEY ARE PROUD OF ALL THE NEW PIXAR ORIGINALS AND KNOW MATTER THE BOX OFFICE THEY ARE 100% COMMITTED TO PIXAR’S ORIGINAL THEATRICAL ANIMATIONS. When people see that you’re committed to something they start to take it seriously as well. It will take time to fix but it can be done and there next Upcoming Films HOPPERS and GATTO will succeed while also getting more people interested in the other new originals. haven’t kept up with the #WinorLose episodes after the first two because corporate Disney making Pixar erase any mention of Kai being transgender just hurt to much. But after seeing all the love Kai’s episode is getting I decided to watch, and Wow it’s still so beautiful trans!!😍🩷🏳️⚧️ Pixar really tried there best to keep the foundation of the episode so visually telling that even if you don’t know she’s transgender you can still pick it up. Seeing Kai at the beginning try to hid her younger photos was so relatable for me as a Trans Woman, and even though the scene with her father is supposed to be about baseball you can tell it’s about her coming out as a trans girl. Pixar showcasing a black father excepting his black trans daughter is so powerful and seeing Kai slowly start to socially transition was incredible. I really wish Bob Iger and the Disney shareholders valued trans kids enough to fight for them, but I’m so grateful to Pixar for always trying to do there best to make sure all kids (and adults lol) feel seen and represented. I hope one day Disney releases the fully done version of Kai’s episode, maybe for Pride Month.🙏🏾🩷🏳️⚧️ #KaiWillAlwaysBeTrans
