My good deed for the day. Saw a lady struggling down the street with lots of packages and a dog (meet Pirate). Turns out Pirate is her daughter’s dog and she wasn’t expecting to be looking after him today - and she has a very important meeting. Then Pirate decides to do a t-Rex sized poop and lady has packages, poop bags, a Pirate and she looked VERY stressed. So, I offered to look after Pirate for an hour. We don’t know each other, but two chews and eight treatos in and he seems to be warming to me 💙

A little story about retail: About six months ago I picked up the phone to Pat from Amroth. She tells me the woes of Tess, her beloved Border Collie who has a sensitive tummy. I’m 94 Sharon, says Pat. Tess is one in a long line of loved dogs and Pat is desperate to find her some good chews & treats. Pat doesn’t use websites. Can you help, says she. I sent Pat a box, to be paid for if she felt it was worthy of Tess. She phoned a few days later, thrilled with the contents and paid me over the phone. We now have a wonderful chat every month or so, when she calls to order a new box. Pat is SO wonderful - she has endless amazing stories of artists and jockeys and celebrities she’s met. She’s had such a varied and adventurous life. It’s my ambition to go and meet her one day.
