Everytime I tell someone that the pitch is made out of sand they seemed shocked “Why do you use sand and not soil “ Well here you go 😆😆😆 It’s only mid Sept and my heads fell off with all this shite falling from the sky Get me a job on that east coast

At the minute the covers have done their job for tomorrow’s Rochdale game. They have been in place since the final whistle on Tuesday.. Precautions in place early tomorrow morning so fingers crossed and we will Know early if it will be off. Keep an eye out as will keep updating

Yesterday we chose to do all the match Prep on Friday. Once left there was 18mm in the jar. Today as we turned up it pretty much started to rain Nearly 16mm since dinner Majority through the game 120 minutes off torrential rain and not a puddle or splash 3rd game this week

Just a quick pitch update a head of Accrington Stanley v Grimsby Town F.C. Since 1pm we’ve had over 90mm of rainfall Pitch has taken it unbelievably well as we knew it would. Not a drop of water on it anywhere See everyone at 3pm Past And Present ASFC

3rd game in 5 days and and the 8th in the last 30 days Been a struggle but we’ve done our best. Pitch really thin and very firm But all set for Rochdale V Hartlepool Pitch will be covered as soon as the final whistle goes to protect it for Saturday
