An important report by Zara Hat Kay covers the CDA’s demolition of Muslim Colony in Islamabad, a settlement that reportedly existed since the 1960s and was home to more than 20,000 people. Prior to the operation, mobile signals in the area were reportedly jammed and drones were deployed as the CDA bulldozed residents’ homes in what it described as a “historic” operation. Muhammad Bashir said when he returned home, he was told his house no longer existed. He has nowhere to go.
