Jeffrey Epstein had more than 1,000 victims over more than two decades as a sex trafficker. But he wasn’t alone. There will be names. Human trafficking still generates about $150 billion a year around the globe- with two-thirds coming from commercial sexual exploitation. Nearly 2 million children are abused in sex trafficking, not just in some far away land, but here, in every state in the land of the free. To love freedom is to shine its light into the shadows. To uphold justice is to protect the powerless. Bravery sees the unseen faces and oppressive forces and decides to act.
