Idk if it was intentional but I always loved how in this scene, when focused on Benedict (Sophie's POV), the camera is steady. But when focused on her (Benedict's POV), it's shaky. Sophie always knew the reality of their relationship. But to Ben, it's only starting to unravel.

The thing is... did Sophie ask him if he ever felt out place while they were at My Cottage??? I don't think she did. That conversation happened at the masquerade. And it's almost as if Benedict subconsciously already sees her as the Lady in Silver.

I need Bridgerton s4 part 2 NOW cause i'm consuming part 1 to the point where i'm laughing at drunk man in the background getting one last drink and then being asked to leave 😭

Examples. I feel like these 2 scenes could have easily been framed as more "hot and heavy". But Benedict was restraining himself. He couldn't help wanting to be around Sophie, but he put in extra effort not to put her in a position where she might be forced to acquiesce.

I saw this on istg (instagram) and i think it really does encapsulate why this season is the season of love in more ways than one.

Sophie was always told to remember her place. And yet, technically, she overstepped here. I think that's a testament to how Benedict never treated Sophie differently and she felt that subconsciously. She could speak her mind to him cause he never made her feel like she couldn't.

A Polin conveniently forgetting that Benedict was about to ask Sophie to marry him before they knew about the dowry but it was Sophie that asked him to wait until things were settled. Bitch please! Benedict was ready to marry a maid and a fugitive (if Araminta got her way).

Something I'll always love about Benophie's story is Benedict, in the end, not caring about Sophie's illegitimacy or social status. He was ready to leave society behind for her. But there was a chance for Sophie to finally live the life she deserved, so they took it.

Rewatching their interviews and this part always gets me. Question: Who knows more historical facts about the regency era? Luke answers himself. Yerin answers herself. But when it seems like Yerin isn't confident about herself, Luke immediately relents that she is right.

I wanna talk about this cause this is one my favorite non-Benophie scenes of the season and always makes me cry. Post kind words about Sophie, Sophie trying to smile as she says goodbye and imparts strength, Posy's sadness as she realizes Sophie is leaving. Sisterhood.
