Pro–Islamic Republic terrorist regime and IRGC supporter Amir Ismaili says the moment news broke about US-backed Kurds taking up arms against the IRGC was an eye-opening moment for the pro-Pahlavi movement that (in his view) mistakenly supports the USA. He says: “I (as an Islamic Republic regime/IRGC supporter) and the King’s (Reza Pahlavi’s) supporters are all united when it comes to them (Kurds).” He adds that if there is one thing that unites them all (pro–Islamic Republic regime and pro-Pahlavi supporters), it is opposition to these “separatists,” referring to the possibility of Kurdish Peshmerga forces liberating the Kurdistan Region of Iran from IRGC occupation and the possibility of Iran becoming a secular, federal democracy. Regardless of these false labels, our legitimate struggle for liberty and democracy will continue, for Kurdistan and for all of Iran. Kurds know their roots, and no one can deny their history, culture, and language. A major example: The central regimes of Iran tried to create a fake Persian identity for Luri Kurds for decades but failed. After that, they tried to claim that Lurs are a completely different ethnic group with no connection to Kurdistan (where did they come from? Mars or Pluto?). That policy also failed. Kurdish nationalism is on the rise on every inch of our homeland.

An Arab woman speaks fluent Kurdish and there are a lot of great examples like this. A different example: I know a Kurdish–Persian couple. The man is from Mahabad, and the woman is from Tehran. She speaks fluent Kurdish. The first time I met them, I thought she was Kurdish. But after their visit, my mother said, “She speaks fluent Kurdish.” And i replied, “Isn’t she supposed to? She’s Kurdish.” (I was confused) She said, “No no, she isn’t Kurdish. She learned Kurdish in the past year or two with her husband.” I said, “What? She speaks fluently Mother, what do you mean she isn’t Kurdish? Where is she from?” My mother said, “She’s Persian from Tehran.” #Kurdistan
