While SM claimed they could not disclose the accounting books because information regarding other artists might be mixed in, such records should not have been prepared in a way that mixes information with other artists in the first place.” This statement does not suggest that income from all activities was combined and redistributed among others/group/elsewhere. Rather, it indicates that the accounting records were not properly separated per artist, as required by law. In other words, the issue raised concerns improper organization and lack of separation in bookkeeping, where other artists’ financial data appear to have been maintained within the same records. This creates significant difficulty in clearly identifying individual earnings and verifying whether settlements have been calculated accurately and fairly. Furthermore, this lack of separation was reportedly used as a justification by SM Entertainment to deny access to detailed settlement data, citing the risk of exposing other artists’ information. We’d like to clear up some misinterpretations regarding Baekhyun’s ment during Reverie Singapore. He also said the similar words “Now is the time to become one with me” during Reverie Manila. This phrase is a cue for fans to follow his lead using the lightstick during “Garden in the Air.” attached here is a video from Reverie Manila. Unfortunately, some have misunderstood this and made a bigger issue out of it than intended, which may affect Baekhyun. We hope this clarification helps, and we appreciate your understanding.
