Congratulations to Captain Sam Griffiths from 160th (Welsh) Brigade who was recently awarded a Coin for Excellence by the Chief of General Staff. The reason? For losing 50kg in weight to become a sub-elite level runner and compete in marathons around the world. We spoke to Sam to find out about his journey, and he shared advice for others who may want to pursue similar goals in running! Very well deserved 👏

From the skies to one of the world’s most remote islands. ✈️ On 9 May 2026, an Atlas A400M flew from Ascension Island to Tristan da Cunha, delivering paratroopers and vital medical supplies to support personnel and residents on the island. Six paratroopers from 16 Air Assault Brigade jumped from the aircraft, including tandem jumps with a nurse and doctor to provide medical support on the ground. Alongside the team, the A400M also carried out airdrops of essential medical supplies.

Happy St Patrick's Day ☘️ 2 Royal Irish celebrated in the traditional spirit of the regiment.🫡 The parade and shamrock giving were held at Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland The battalion came together with veterans of the regiment and the ACF to march through the town onto the parade square with the regimental band.

Meet StormShroud, the RAF's latest electronic warfare drone 👀 Sqn Ldr Stuart Quinn walked us around the new autonomous aircraft which is the first of a new family of Autonomous Collaborative Platforms. It's launched from the ground and will support RAF F-35B Lightning and Typhoon pilots by blinding enemy radars using high-tech signal jammers to increase operational effectiveness of crewed aircraft.
