Antara inisiatif yang diumumkan adalah pendidikan prasekolah akan bermula usia 5 tahun manakala pendidikan Darjah 1 akan bermula usia 6 tahun mulai tahun 2027. 📌 Bagaimanapun, kemasukan awal ini adalah secara sukarela dan belum diwajibkan. Kanak-kanak berusia 6 tahun yang didaftar untuk masuk Darjah 1 turut perlu menjalani ujian diagnostik bagi menilai keupayaan psikoemosi, kemahiran tertentu dan tahap kesediaan mereka.
