Meet Hindutva icon Vinay Katiyar, founder-president of Bajrang Dal, and 3 time BJP MP. He mocks Shankaracharya, “What’s the big deal if he did not take bath? It just saved him trouble of scrubbing his Janeu for 9 days!” (as an aside, buffoon doesn’t know that Shankaracharyas, like any dashanāmī Sanyasi, do not wear yajnopavīta.) In 1993, this Vinay Katiyar guy was threatening to “paint UP red” if RJB temple construction began under the lead of Shringeri Shankaracharya with PVNR initiative.
