Shri Amit Shah ji, the Gamocha is a symbol of Assamese pride. People bow their heads to accept an offered Gamocha, and allow it to be placed around their neck. But, during your welcome ceremony at the airport, by nonchalantly snatching the offered Gamochas from the hands of the Assam Chief Minister and other dignitaries, and passing it on to your assistants, you have demonstrated your uncouth manners. Please apologise to the Assamese people for your pedestrian behaviour.

After reflection, I join the BJP Assam Pradesh with renewed purpose. Assam’s legacy deserves development with dignity and inclusion. I step forward with humility and resolve to serve the state and the People.

After joining the BJP, yesterday marked my first interaction at my Bhogpur residence with party workers and leaders from BJP, AGP, and Congress. It was encouraging to see leaders across parties come together in a spirit of dialogue and public service. The path ahead is about cooperation, clarity, and commitment to the people.

The failure of #BJP to fulfill the promises made to the people of Assam in their electoral manifesto and vision document has led to a steady erosion of public support. This can be seen in the low turnout in the public meeting addressed by BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda in Jorhat today. BJP bhagao, Assam bachao !

The failure of the Himanta Biswa Sarma government has been exposed with the tragic deaths of innocent Assamese laborers trapped in the illegal coal syndicate in Umrangso, and many still being held captive. In protest against this illegal coal syndicate, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee organized a state-wide sit-in protest in every district. The protest, titled “In Search of Truth: Who is the Kingpin of the Coal Syndicate?”, was held today.
