![STUDENT SHOOTER ENTERED THROUGH EMERGENCY EXIT Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said the Grade 8 shooter entered the Ateneo de Zamboanga University Junior High School building through an unlocked emergency exit at around 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday, 20 minutes after classes started. Remulla stressed that the school followed its security protocols, but the shooter “found an opportunity” to enter through the emergency exit. “Nakahanap siya ng butas. Pagpapasok, sa normal gate ng Ateneo. Pumasok siya sa emergency exit. Sa emergency exit kasi, hindi nilalagyan ng lock. Binubuksan ‘yan pagdating sa school time,” Remulla explained on Thursday. “In the case of Ateneo, they did everything right. They only opened it when [classes] started. JUST IN: One day after authorities confirmed the removal of a Chinese floating platform from Bajo de Masinloc or Scarborough Shoal, a new Chinese research vessel has been spotted in waters outside the shoal. ABS-CBN News joined the Philippine Coast Guard’s maritime domain awareness flight in the West Philippine Sea on Thursday. The PCG also monitored a Chinese research support vessel, two China Coast Guard ships, and three Chinese maritime militia vessels outside Bajo de Masinloc.
