Dude calling “Burning Bridges” pointless is actually insane. From the jump in Part I, Drake is clearly speaking to Rihanna: he knows it’s her dream to start a family in LA but he won’t relocate because they love him too much in Toronto and he can’t leave his brothers. That’s the exact family life she ended up building with Rocky instead. Then Part II flips it into straight shots at Rocky; that “getting bodied by a singing nigga” energy is a cold callback to the Meek Mill beef, plus lines questioning why his baby mama ain’t even post a single and calling out how he tried to fix things with Drake before dropping his album and going back to dissing. Dude was supposed to catch these layers on first listen or at least get curious and dig in instead of dismissing it. These big accounts stay flip-flopping. Drake doesn’t put any song to waste!
