Everybody knows that I personally don’t really like VDM. I disagree with him on many things, and I have never been one to hide my opinions about him. However, I have also been following his activities closely, and it would be dishonest to deny the impact he is having in Nigeria today. Whether you like him or not, VDM has managed to become a significant voice in different spheres of our society. He has brought certain issues to the public consciousness, challenged institutions and individuals, and, in his own unconventional way, contributed to conversations that many people would rather avoid. You don’t have to like a person to acknowledge their impact. And honestly, as much as I may not like VDM personally, I cannot help but respect the influence and relevance he has built for himself. Credit where credit is due. 🇳🇬

God didn’t build China. China was built by the Chinese. God didn’t build Japan. Japan was built by the Japanese. God didn’t build Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia was built by the Saudis. God didn’t build America. America was built by the Americans. God didn’t build Europe. Europe was built by the Europeans. So why is Africa waiting for God to build its nations? God created us with brains, just like every other human being. He gave us the ability to think, innovate, invent, solve problems, and exercise dominion over the earth. But instead of using these abilities to build our nations, too many of us have been conditioned to pray for what we should also be working to create. Prayer is not a substitute for responsibility. Faith is not an excuse for inaction. Perhaps the problem is not that God has abandoned Africa, but that we have misunderstood our own responsibility in building the world He gave us. God gave us the brains. We must do the building. 🧠🌍

Let me tell you something about how the Nigerian import business works. I sell Chinese cars too, just like many other dealers. But because we work directly with suppliers in China, our pricing can be significantly lower. Take the BYD Song Plus for example. Many car stands and showrooms in Abuja are selling this same model for around ₦68m–₦75m. We are selling ours for ₦52m. And this price difference has actually gotten me intimidated several times. Some dealers have tried to pressure me, especially because I am the face of the company here, to sell at prices similar to theirs. But I can’t do that. If our company has already achieved its targeted profit at ₦52m, why should I add another ₦16m–₦23m simply because other dealers are selling higher? I would rather give the buyer a better price and still make our legitimate profit. We currently have BYD Song Plus units available at our showroom in Abuja. You can buy directly from us at ₦52m, subject to the available specification/unit. And if you want to buy directly from the factory in China, we can also facilitate that. You will simply be responsible for the shipping and clearing costs. If you are genuinely interested in the BYD Song Plus, send me a DM. I can show you the available units, specifications and buying options. Same car. Same model. Why pay ₦68m–₦75m when you can get yours for ₦52m?

This is the greatest achievement of Jay-Jay Okocha as a footballer. I regard Nwankwo Kanu, John Obi Mikel, Obafemi Martins and Victor Moses as greater Nigerian footballers than Okocha. Before you come to argue with me, please don’t bring me dribbling videos, skills compilations or “Okocha was a magician.” 😂 Bring me the stats, individual awards, major trophies, European achievements and international records. Football greatness is not determined by how entertaining a player was. What did he actually achieve? Kanu won the Champions League, UEFA Cup, Premier League, FA Cups, Olympic gold and was twice named African Footballer of the Year. Mikel won the Champions League, Europa League, two Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two League Cups and AFCON with Nigeria. So yes, I know Okocha was extraordinarily talented. I know he was one of the most entertaining African players ever. But talent, entertainment and greatness are not exactly the same thing. Come with your numbers. Let’s debate football, not nostalgia. 😂

EXPOSED: “Olu of Warri, Tompolo and Osahon Idahosa collect ₦2.7tn annually from the Nigerian Federal Government through pipeline contracts.” Asari Dokubo said Tompolo is involved in the contracts but receives far less than the figures being alleged, while he himself has no involvement in the pipeline contracts. He also claimed Arthur Eze previously held the contract and that he saw an Orji Uzor Kalu ( former Gov of abia state) -owned vessel operating in their waters. — Asari Dokubo blows hot
