🚨 Diego Simeone on Julián Álvarez: 🗣️ “Let me make this very clear: I would rather sell Julián Álvarez to Leganés, Real Betis or even Everton than sell him to another big club. We rescued this player from Manchester City when he was pushing for a move because he didn’t want to remain in Haaland’s shadow. Atlético paid exactly what City demanded. We believed in him, gave him responsibility and made him one of our most important players. And now he wants to force a move to one of our biggest rivals? No chance. We are not here to strengthen our rivals. Julián is an Atlético player, and he is staying with us. If he wants to leave, he can wait. He is stuck with us.” 🔴⚪️ #Alvarez #Atletico #Laporta

🗣️ Fernando Torres on Julián Álvarez’s situation at Atlético Madrid: “The level of hypocrisy from Julián Álvarez and Barcelona is crazy. I honestly don’t understand why he’s playing the victim.” Let’s be real. Álvarez was a bench player at Manchester City because Erling Haaland had already established himself as the main striker. When Álvarez decided to leave, Atlético Madrid were one of the few top European clubs ready to make a serious move for him — paying around €75 million for his services. Atlético backed him, built their attack around him and trusted him to be one of the faces of the project. Then, after signing a new contract until 2030, he suddenly wants out because Barcelona are interested? 🤔 Football is a business, not a fairy tale. If Barcelona really want him, then let them pay the €500 million release clause and take him. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t demand loyalty from a club while showing none when a bigger opportunity comes along. I trust Diego Simeone to handle the situation properly. Atlético invested heavily in Julián Álvarez, and he should respect the club that gave him the platform to become one of their biggest stars. Football isn’t about emotions. It’s business‼️.

🗣️ Interviewer: What can you say about five winless games in a row for Miami? 😶 🗣️ Messi: Honestly, I can’t explain why we’ve been performing so poorly recently. We’re giving our best and trying to make an impact on the pitch, but the results just aren’t coming our way. A team like Miami is expected to perform at a much higher level and give everything on the pitch. But right now, our best isn’t enough—we have to do more. Today, we played well in the first half, but in the second half, we lost focus and conceded two goals. I managed to pull one back, but unfortunately, it was too late to find the equalizer. My teammates need to step up. Our midfield and defense have to run more, fight harder, and stay focused for the full 90 minutes. Hopefully, Casemiro can give us the experience and strength we need to turn things around. We know this isn’t good enough for Miami, and we have to change it. 🔥⚽ #lionelmessi #intermiami #toronto #casemiro #mls
