A seaplane pushing wave tolerance to its max. 🌊 Check out this Twin Otter in its max sea state of about 2 ft. Bouncing and bobbing over the waves until it just barely gets airborne, and that’s only because of a significant headwind. Landing in these conditions would be even more choppy. But in the scheme of ocean waves, these are relatively tiny! This is the key differentiator of REGENT’s Seaglider. Using hydrofoils to takeoff and a deep-V hull to land, a Seaglider of the same size and weight can operate in 5ft seas. This unlocks operations in the vast majority of conditions around the world.
