“It is much more important to kill bad bills than to pass good ones.” ― Calvin Coolidge

Shorts

Brad Smith just called payroll taxes an existential threat to WA jobs. Minutes later, Jamie Pedersen told the room: either kill I-645 (our income tax repeal) or we might have to talk about that payroll tax again. Microsoft's response? A smile. This is a shakedown by a criminal enterprise (don’t want to insult the mafia by comparing them to Jamie) There is probably no more dangerous creature than a fundamentally weak man like Jamie who has been given enormous power… I suspect Brad you are not doing microsoft, your employees, or the state any favors by your collaboration with your captors…. And while I am not a betting man i would put money on the fact that there is a very specific tax either payroll or corporate income with your name on it already in chamber…. Help us save the state Vote Yes on I-645 to repeal the income tax

Anyone that thinks the legislature doesn’t care about you just needs to watch Natalie Hill explain how generous they are on the first “Milli”… very cool, very hip, in touch with the people, and super well versed in economics…..

There is absolutely no evidence that people are moving from WA state fleeing taxes ….. none i tell you not even a little bit.. not even Jamie P.’s friend Nick Hanauer changing his membership at the Seattle Tennis club to non resident member… not even a tad of evidence— no loss of jobs no companies shutting down… none

“Working class people do not sign” “I hope you burn in hell” “By the way buddy, Jesus doesn’t love you, Jesus doesn’t love you” The deep well reasoned arguments for why Washington needs an income tax

Nothing says 'we're the tolerant ones' like ripping up signs to a stop the income tax initiative signing event, yelling FU, then running away —Apparently 'no hate' only applies to people who agree with them—Monday in Tumwater

Must Listen— Jamie Pedersen says the quiet part out loud again Thank you KUOW for this JP: “We don’t have a constitutional ban on income tax” JP: “We could have a flat 1% income tax no problem there is no question that we could have an income tax, it just doesn’t raise very much money” KUOW “.. the Democrats your party, you yourself, voted to ban an income tax JP: “Yeah I mean what did Mary Poppins call that ? A pie crust promise easily made easily broken… I would’t take that super seriously, if we need to tweak it, we will just tweak it. “
