Malcom X was half Black American. Odd to leave that out. Heres what he said about Puerto Ricans(Caribbeans, like his mother) when speaking on “including” them in compensation that is specific to Black Americans. Is he being divisive here? And stop disrespecting MLK.

I don’t think we really understand the history and lengths of white people going above and beyond to demonize aspects of Black American culture and traditions. They even considered Jazz evil music.

Racist Irish Americans barely know their history. Irish people in Ireland saw the hypocrisy. During the Irish civil rights movement, they specifically looked to Black American movements for inspiration. They called themselves “black,” and sang Black American songs etc.

See…What you’re saying is false. Fela and Afrobeat comes after James Browns and BA Soul/Funk. No Afrobeat without it. Here, Tony O Allen, Felas drummer, explains how bands across Africa emulated Black American rhythms and “grooves.” Especially James Brown….

When Ethiopia started to allow musicians to record music, they created music based on Black American genres and rhythms. Jazz, RnB, RnR, Soul etc. These were the first “recreational” recording. Ethiopias modern music history is rooted in Black American music culture.

Entire marches and speeches with thousands of Irish people, looking to Black American music, spirituality and black power movements as a base for the entire Irish Civil Rights fights. “We Shall Overcome” a Black American staple, was the main song for them.
