Even Titney Spears is loving it! I’m so excited to finally share my children’s book, The Multicoloured Bird.. a story about joy, music and finding happiness. The Multicoloured Bird has been platformed on websites such as The Magical Story Machine and Yoto for some time, but to hold a physical copy in my hands and to know children are able to enjoy it as a bedtime story is a dream come true, but what makes it even more special is that every penny of profit will go to SHALVA National Centre in Jerusalem. Shalva is an incredible place that supports children with disabilities and special needs, giving them and their families care, therapy, education, love and support. I visited Shalva last year and it completely touched my heart. It’s a truly special place doing amazing work every single day. So if you are able to buy a copy, not only are you sharing a beautiful tale with a child you love, but you’ll also be helping support some very special children and families 💕💕

Something that has knocked me for six is the fact that the hostages have only become stronger in their Judaism. Holding on to being a Jew. Even in the darkest most terrifying times. Rom Bravslevski refused to convert to Islam in captivity, even when offered food when he was starving as a treat if he read the Quran. His reply was ‘I am a strong Jew’. On coming out he laid tefillin.. an ancient morning ritual. Former hostage Eli Sharabi, who was not a religious Jew, recited the Shema prayer for the first time whilst in captivity and held on to scraps of stale pita bread and drops of water just to be able to make the holy Friday night shabbat kiddush prayers. Omer Shem Tov had conversations with G-d and tried to also observe shabbat traditions. Their faith helped to get them through. Thank you prayers to G-d have been recited on site of families reuniting with their returned loved ones… Taken for being a Jew. Tortured and starved for being a Jew. One of the greatest shocks after the massace, the Black Sabbath of October 7, was not only the brutality itself, but the denial that followed. Among the most painful responses was the reaction from parts of the feminist community. Feminists who are usually so vocal about believing all women, about standing with survivors of any sexual assault, were not just silent, they actively denied the rape of Israeli women. Something you’ll hear at every pro-Israel march and at marches supporting the people of Iran is the national anthem. No matter the country, when Jews, Iranians and their allies gather, they sing the anthem as a sign of respect for the nation they live in and are hosted by. That’s something you will never hear at a pro-Palestinian march. I’m always struck by the respect, love and sense of comradeship at our marches, especially when contrasted with the violence, masked faces, graffiti and desecration of statues honouring our bravest that so often accompany pro-Palestinian protests Therein lies the difference Stop The Hate UK Niyak Ghorbani (نیاک) LilyMoo
