Manchester United are no strangers to Marc Cucurella. The club explored a move in 2023, with personal terms even agreed, so any renewed interest wouldn’t come out of nowhere. For me, if a deal is realistically available in the €40–50m range, I’d take Cucurella over Lewis Hall right now. Not because Hall lacks quality or long-term potential, but because Cucurella is already a proven Premier League performer who can walk straight into the starting XI from day one. In a league where reliability and experience are priceless, having a ready-made full-back who needs no adaptation period is a huge advantage. If Manchester United are going to spend big on another left winger, it should be someone who offers a different profile to Matheus Cunha. As much as I rate Iliman Ndiaye, I see too many similarities between his game and Cunha’s. Cunha edges him in end product, decision-making and overall numbers. For all of Rafael Leão’s flaws out of possession, he brings something different elite pace, directness and 1v1 ability.
