All I can say about public fursuiting is this: it’s great. I’ve had my fullsuit for a little over a year. During that time, every public walk brought the same reactions: smiles, laughter, and people wanting photos. Nothing else. Sometimes I hear claims that furries do this to get close to kids. It’s obvious what’s behind these takes - people just want to slap on a label and score political points. I’ve also heard some furries say that public fursuiting is cringe or “sets the fandom back.” I disagree. People see a cartoon character come to life. It makes them laugh. There’s nothing wrong with that. I like bringing people joy. It makes me feel useful and appreciated. And you can always turn it into a fun video :)
