I didn't manage to catch Labour's Afzal Khan on results night to ask him for a follow up after Labour's terrible performance in Gorton and Denton. He left ahead of the announcement. Last Friday he called the Green's "time wasters" and remained 110% confident that local Muslims will back Labour. Surely now Mr Khan must consider abandoning this poisoned brand. London was handed over to Tommy's terror gang today. People could have been seriously hurt! I spent the day on both sides of the divide. I marched with the nationalists and the anti-fascists and after witnessing all the violence, hate and Islamophobia, my conclusion is that Tommy Robinson's hate marches should be banned. This is not a normal march, it's a thuggish rampage of Britain's worst sort. The far-right are a danger to Britain and mustn't be allowed to batter their way into power.
