Vickie Paladino, Kristy Marmorato, myself and many others have been yelling and screaming about these car meet ups, the blasting music and the reckless driving for years, yet it keeps falling on deaf ears. What happened in Malba was unreal, but it is the same chaos we see across the city. In my district these punks take over our streets while the cops do nothing and there is no punishment thanks to pro criminal politicians like Andrew Cuomo and Kathy Hochul. We need serious change in this state so people finally face real consequences. Until that happens many New Yorkers will take matters into their own hands because if government will not protect us, we will.

As a Democrat, I can tell you firsthand that people across this city are exhausted by the status quo — the corruption, the chaos, the gaslighting and propaganda. New Yorkers know City Hall should never be for sale, yet that’s exactly what we’re seeing under Mamdani and Cuomo. Curtis Sliwa is the only candidate in this race who is actually running to be the People’s Mayor, not a mayor for insiders or donors. And that’s why they’re terrified of him — because he can’t be bought, pressured, or controlled. Don’t fall for the fear tactics or propaganda. You don’t have to settle for the “lesser of two evils.” There is a candidate who stands with the people, who has shown up for this city every single day for decades, and who is ready to fix the mess we’re in. Curtis is the good vs the corrupt. Get out there and vote. He can win — and he will.

Today, I questioned the outrageous legislation from New York City Council that would eliminate the NYPD's gang database. With gang violence surging in NYC—primarily driven by the rise of migrant gangs—it's absolute insanity that elected officials in this body prioritize coddling criminals over keeping New Yorkers safe. The NYPD NEWS is doing everything they can to protect us, despite having their hands tied by misguided policies from city and state leaders. I'm grateful for their efforts in the face of such reckless governance.

Our animal shelters are overcrowded, and ACC has now announced they can’t take in any more surrenders. This is heartbreaking and unacceptable. We’re in a full-blown crisis, and it’s going to take real solutions—not silence—from the city. That’s why I introduced a bill to establish pet food pantries across NYC. Families who are struggling shouldn’t be forced to surrender a beloved furry family member just because they’ve hit hard times. A little help can go a long way in keeping pets in loving homes where they belong. The city must get more involved—and fast. And if you’re able, please visit an ACC shelter and adopt or foster a pet.
