When Brayden Point came into the league, drafted 79th overall, people questioned his ability to skate. Jon Cooper said his first impression of Point was that he struggled to skate. So, what did No. 21 do? He worked tirelessly to improve, becoming one of the best skaters in the world. Yes, I know he struggled this year, posting 18 goals & 32 assists through 63 games. It’s not great. But if anyone can work his way out of a slump, it’s Brayden Point. “I learned some things in my game that I gotta get better at. Now it’s about putting in the work, and this Summer is going to be a great opportunity to work on those things I identified.” - Brayden Point (during exit interviews). (🎥) - Here’s a glimpse of the Brayden Point we needed more of this season & what we can expect in 2026-27. I’m predicting 50 goals out of Pointer next year. Am I nuts?! #GoBolts

I never dreamed Darren Raddysh would be dealt to an Atlantic division opponent, but it being Toronto makes sense (Raddysh was born there). I’m glad he will get paid, and I genuinely wish him the best. He deserves it. That guy is a standup dude who keeps his head down & works hard. Originally, undrafted, Raddysh took six years battling through the AHL to reach the NHL. Now, he’s turned all that around to become the unanimous #1 defensemen in free agency. What a story. We’ll miss the Bald Eagle, for sure. Best wishes, Raddy🫡 🎥: January 20th, 2025 || 43’s first career goal against Toronto.

I wanted to sleep this one off to avoid an overreaction; I woke up just as pissed as I was last night. 1) This injury simply does not happen if that door is latched. The violence results from the door stonewalling his momentum. If that’s a normal board, he rolls right off that hit. 2) Holmberg was having a career year. Already, he’s played more games than in any season prior, and he’s set new career highs in both goals & points. On top of that, the Hounds line has been Jon Cooper’s go-to line, notably shutting down the Avalanche, the Penguins, the Oilers, etc. Injuries suck; injuries that result from human negligence suck even worse. This is horrifying—purely horrific.
