December 28, 2003. The 3-12 Cardinals had nothing to play for. The Vikings were seconds away from winning the NFC North and clinching a playoff berth. Then Josh McCown found Nate Poole in the end zone with 4 seconds left. The domino effect: • Vikings lose the division & miss the playoffs • Cardinals lose out on the No. 1 overall pick • Chargers land the No. 1 pick and select Eli Manning but he refuses to play for San Diego • The Giants & Chargers pull off a blockbuster trade • The Chargers turned that deal into Philip Rivers, plus future All Pros Shawne Merriman and Nate Kaeding One meaningless Week 17 game changed the trajectory of multiple franchises.

Eagles fans took over SoFi stadium vs the Rams. The Rams were 1 game in the loss column out of the final playoff spot leading up to this primetime game. The Chargers are ridiculed for not having fans, but never been taken over like this at home this season. (🎥via Allen Sales)
