WATCH: ABC mitigates 58 seconds on New Jersey's discovery of 6000+ illegal aliens on the voter rolls with 48 seconds of "But Trump". A story so damning it needs "seasoning" in order to air. DAVID MUIR: Now to the election error revealed here in the Northeast, New Jersey's governor tonight revealing more than 6000 noncitizens were mistakenly added to the voter rolls in that state. So how did this happen and how many actually voted? Here's Mary Bruce tonight. MARY BRUCE: Tonight, New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill revealing that because of a computer error, about 6600 noncitizens applying for a driver's license were also improperly registered to vote. MIKIE SHERRILL: In the case of this error, some individuals indicated that they weren't citizens and weren't eligible to vote, but the software registered them anyway. BRUCE: The governor says about 400 of those noncitizens actually voted, but that there's no evidence their votes swayed any elections. She says officials became aware of the issue last week, and that all 6600 people are being scrubbed from the voter rolls. SHERRILL: We don't deflect, deny or exploit problems for our own gain. We find them and we fix them. BRUCE: The White House says the episode, quote, “underscores the absolute necessity of the SAVE America Act, President Trump's bill requiring voter ID and proof of citizenship. The President has been amping up his unproven claims of widespread election fraud, pointing a finger at China. DONALD TRUMP: …of China's sinister election meddling. BRUCE: Just three months ago, Trump heaped praise on China's longtime leader Xi Jinping. TRUMP: You're a great leader. I say it to everybody. You're a great leader. Sometimes people don't like me saying it, but I say it anyway because it's true. BRUCE: Today, asked if China will now face consequences for their alleged election meddling. Trump brushing it off. TRUMP: Well, we're going to talk to them about it. It took place a long time ago. I think China is maybe a little bit different today than it was then. BRUCE: And David, back to New Jersey, the governor there says they are now scrubbing their voter rolls. And she vows this will never happen again, saying when they find problems, they fix them. ![WATCH: Margaret Brennan gets COOKED by Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Leiter over Ro Khanna's incursion in the West Bank MARGARET BRENNAN: Well, before I let you go, there were two high-profile incidents I want to quickly touch on here. One, a CNN crew attacked in the West Bank by what they say were four settlers. There was also an incident with Ro Khanna, the congressman from California, who said he was his vehicles he was in were stopped by Israeli settlers, and then when the IDF showed up, they were on the side of the settlers, not him. He said "[i]t's not a good idea to detain longshot presidential candidates". It was a warning to your government. Do you think your government needs to apologize to both him and those CNN journalists? MICHAEL LEITER: Any violence is to be condemned. No excuses, no explanations. Okay. So if CNN crew was attacked, that needs to be condemned, and I'm doing so right now. And we need to do a better job. BRENNAN: You are condemning it [unint]-- LEITER: --If- if- if it was- actually took place as they've reported it, absolutely condemning it. We need to rein in violence on all sides. Now, in terms of Ro Khanna, we reached out to him when we heard he was going to Israel, the Israeli embassy here in Washington. As all congressmen do, they coordinate their trip with the Israeli government. We suggested he visit with- with survivors of the October 7th massacre. That he visit the borders, so he understands the, the issues that we have in our borders and so on. He ignored that and he decided to coordinate his trip not with Israel, but with Palestinian activists and with J Street, which is a anti-government, anti-Israeli government advocacy group here in Washington. So you know he coordinated-- BRENNAN: It's a Jewish lobby group… LEITER: Well, it's-- BRENNAN: …that is supportive of a different path for Israel. LEITER: Yeah, yeah. I- I play tennis once a year. That doesn't make me a tennis player. The fact that they call themselves a Jewish organization is- is irrelevant. They're- they're- an advocacy group against the government of Israel. That has to be clear. BRENNAN: The current government, Netanyahu government. LEITER: Yes. Yes-- BRENNAN: That's what you mean, the government you work for. LEITER: And Congressman Khanna, there has been no secret about his antipathy towards the government of Israel as well. So perhaps if he would have coordinated the trip- and then you know to have this incident on Wednesday and wait to release it on Saturday, maybe this had more something to do with his support of- of Graham Platner beforehand and the difficulties he had with that, and trying to shift the focus to something else. Perhaps I'm asking a question. BRENNAN: Well, we did hear from Congressman Khanna, who said that there was an alert to the embassy on his behalf, and that they asked for the news… LEITER: --There was not, there was not-- BRENNAN: …to be held until he had left the country, as well. LEITER: There was a question. There was not an alert. There was a question about visas. That's all. But when we requested that he coordinate the trip with us, he rejected that by basically staying silent. So that's unfortunate. This whole incident is unfortunate. ABC actually aired a USAID employee's description of the scramble as DOGE rolled up to the office, and their hurried removal of woke iconography a la the documents burning scene in Downfall: "Department of Government Efficiency was in the building. We started -- we took down our pride flags, we took down- I took out any books I felt would be incriminating. No one was talking, We heard they started taking transcripts automatically of all of our Google meets. We -- they unplugged the news in the little kitchen galleys. It didn't feel good. And then Saturday, all of the websites went down. And then I lost complete access to my computer."

WATCH: Bill Maher repeatedly denounces the rising socialist wing of the Democrat Party as ABC's Jon Karl tries to change the subject. In this case, Karl shifts to the Jay Clayton hearing and the 2020 election BILL MAHER: No, that's what I love about those Republicans. The first thing I said to him is, it's so odd, isn't it, that I didn't vote for you, and yet you guys come to the show and take your beating like a man. The Democrats don't come, and yet they got my vote. It's just odd, isn't it? JON KARL: Yeah, why is that? So what is that all about? I mean, by the way, you get some Democrats, but... MAHER: Democrats are cowardly, they're cowardly. Their party is being taken over now by, you know, every day I hear about a new very radical- I feel very good about, like, 10-whenever years ago, like, I did lose fans because, you know, I wasn't gonna go along with some of this crazy stuff on the left, too. I didn't change really on what I thought about the right, but just, I can't sit and just not notice stuff, which people seem to wanna do because it's all about my team or your team. But yeah, there's some crazy stuff, you know, when we're cheering for the Intifada, I gotta cut, I'm out. Val Demings dismisses it all as she goes into her set piece, is absolutely COOKED by Stephen Hayes KRISTEN WELKER: Val, I want to ask you about another controversial candidate for Democrats. You talked about Maine, Graham Platner. I’m going to just read from my notes because I want to get it right. He’s faced a series of controversies, including past posts about sexual assault, a tattoo that resembled a Nazi symbol that he had covered up right before he ran, by the way, and now sexually explicit texts with other women despite being married. Does Graham Platner pose a headache for Democrats? VAL DEMINGS: Well, let me go back to Texas for just a moment. Cornyn was a beloved candidate beloved by Republicans in Washington and in Texas. I’m not sure that candidate flaws matter as much as they used to. Millions of dollars were spent to save Cornyn. Didn’t work. Paxton won by a landslide. But the bottom line is Platner, he’s a combat veteran, has served in multiple tours of duty, an oyster farmer. And I believe that sends a message to voters that he understands the working class, had to go to work every day. I think people are so worried about the future right now they’re going to look at, “Do I feel like this candidate is going to fight for me and what I care about?” If Maine believes that through all of the controversy, as we just saw with Paxton, Platner will win. STEPHEN HAYES: But this is where– this is where people, normal people watching this at home, are so frustrated with the level of toxic partisanship where we’ve got somebody who they have to defend. You’ve got Democrats who are defending Graham Platner, who are calling him a good and decent man, and arguing that the guy with the Nazi tattoo, “We really need him because he has to beat Susan Collins,” one of the most bipartisan members of Congress in the past couple decades, who voted to convict Donald Trump. “But it’s so important. We have to have Graham Platner. We have to have somebody who savaged military veterans, said that a military veteran who was being shot at deserved to die, who’s blamed rape victims for their own assaults.” And you’ve now got a Democratic Party rallying around somebody like that?

WATCH: The Sunday shows immediately cover the rape allegations against U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell. Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy describes how he tried to get rid of Swalwell since the Fang Fang days. JON KARL: We don't have much time left, but I wanted the- the allegations against Eric Swalwell, which have not been independently confirmed by ABC, he's denied them all- but serious sexual misconduct allegations. And now you have a, you know, an army of Democrats, uh, abandoning his, uh, his campaign for governor. He was the leading candidate, uh, Democratic candidate for governor. And now he's facing calls to drop out from people like Nancy Pelosi. KEVIN McCARTHY: Listen, let me be very clear. I tried to get rid of Swalwell six, eight years ago when I got the briefing, when I became leader with the FBI- Nancy Pelosi was in the room. I turned to her and said, how can you keep him on Intel? Intel is a select committee that only the leaders put on, that you know all the secrets that the members do not. I made a motion... KARL: But- is this about sexual misconduct allegations or… McCARTHY: It was a combination with the Chinese spy and it led to all that. Every member in Congress knows not to- not to let any young staffer get around Swalwell or Matt Gaetz. It- it’s- it's not a secret there. There's a reason why you didn't want those two people around. He was the leading candidate for governor. He probably could have won the primary and gotten there. But this all came forward. And these young women deserve justice. DONNA BRAZILE: I agree… KARL: Donna, should he drop out? BRAZILE: His campaign is in a free fall right now, with top staffers leaving. And let me just say this, as someone who knows at least one of the victims that have come forward, I’m very concerned. KARL: Thank you, Donna.

GROSS: Tapper leverages the death of Lindsey Graham into a subtle "where's Mitch" gotcha attempt with Tim Scott, which is immediately rebuffed JAKE TAPPER: So, the Senate reconvenes tomorrow. Senator Graham was taken to the same hospital where Senator Mitch McConnell is currently recovering from his health issues. It's a tough time for Senate Republicans right now. TIM SCOTT: Well, it's a time for prayer for those folks who are ailing. There's no doubt about it, that Senator McConnell deserves our prayers. He served our country valiantly and and continues to be in good spirits from all that I've heard. I texted him over the weekend, I will simply say that we have a lot of work to get done, and we'll get our work done, but we certainly will miss Lindsey Graham. And as we focus on the next few weeks in the Senate, we'll take a step back and remember that we're all human. In fact, we all have families. We all are just there trying to serve the greatest country on the planet, and we'll get the work done. But in the next 48 hours and probably beyond, we'll spend time celebrating the life of Lindsey Graham, mourning the loss of Lindsey Graham, but understanding why he was so important to America, and hopefully doubling down on keeping Americans safe here at home and anywhere we travel.

WATCH: Jill Biden blames The White House's medical team for missing Joe Biden's cancer diagnosis RITA BRAVER: So is it a big change? You were in The White House and you are living kind of a quiet life in Delaware? JILL BIDEN: Well, it's not exactly a quiet life. I mean, we are still doing a lot of things, writing, traveling, speaking. But then we come home and this is our peaceful place, let's put it that way. BRAVER: But there has not been a lot of peace for the Bidens. Just four months after leaving office, President Biden was diagnosed with an aggressive form of stage four prostate cancer that had traveled to his bones. BIDEN: Yes. BRAVER: How is the president doing now? BIDEN: He is doing well. But it was a shock. I mean, Rita, honestly, I can remember getting the diagnosis, and it was just, it was shocking. BRAVER: Do you think that someone, when he was in The White House, should have discovered it, given him a test? BIDEN: Well, you know, the doctors said that according to the American Urological Association, that men over 70 don't need a PSA, a blood blood test anymore because it's a slow-growing cancer. I have to say, Rita, I do feel we had amazing care in The White House, but somehow that was missed. BRAVER: So you're a little bit tense when it comes to his health, huh? BIDEN: I don’t know if the word is “tense”, but I’m vigilant.

And if I were Jimmy Kimmel, I mean, I'm surprised that a guy who once wore blackface and caused large-breasted women to jump on trampolines lasted this long in the media business to begin with. He was long past his sell date, and the fact that he couldn't realize that and was going down this road of partisan hackery being unfunny and demonizing half the country, that's wild.

WATCH: CBS's Tony Dokoupil completes his editorial to close out the West Coast Evening News broadcast. In a minute and a half, he runs through what the other nightlies omit- that China is going through the suck worse than the U.S. right now. The media hall monitors will surely throw a fit about it tomorrow. TONY DOKOUPIL: Finally, tonight from Taiwan: as President Trump and China's Xi Jinping prepare to meet, you will hear a lot about American decline and the rise of a powerful new China. The Chinese certainly believe it. But is it true? Xi’s China is a marvel by many measures, is- is the world's second largest economy, producing almost 30% of the world's manufactured goods. They have high speed rails that put the Acela to shame. And China has lifted millions of its citizens out of poverty, making things like the iPhones in your pocket and mine. And yet, America remains the innovation hub of the world. Made in China, yes; but designed and invented in the U.S.A. New drugs, new discoveries, new inventions, new space missions. Xi boasts of the country's industrial might, and it's impossible to deny that fact. China's population is in decline, though, well below replacement rates. Unemployment is high with millions in rural provinces living in poverty, and massive housing complexes that now sit empty. Most importantly, and perhaps I'm stating the obvious here, none of these problems are a topic on the Chinese evening news. In fact, pessimism itself is forbidden on the Chinese internet.
