A baby orangutan should never have to grow up alone. Almost every baby orangutan in our rehabilitation centres is orphaned—separated from the mother they depend on to survive and learn how to live in the forest.

They’re wild, essential, and worth protecting. Every orangutan deserves a future in the wild. Protecting them means protecting the forests they call home and the role they play in keeping them healthy 🦧🌿 #SaveOrangutans

#ORANGUTIMES Can orangutans be startled? Yes 🦧 For rescued individuals, this reaction can be stronger due to past experiences. With time, patience, and care, they slowly learn to feel safe again 🌿 #SaveOrangutans

AI-generated content showing orangutans as pets or interacting closely with humans may look harmless, but it can create the wrong perception of their lives in the wild! Let’s be more mindful and think twice before creating or sharing AI-generated wildlife content 🦧🌿

🔥 When forests burn, the impact doesn’t stop at the forest. Forest fires release smoke and pollutants into the air. Under sunlight, some of these pollutants can contribute to the formation of ground-level ozone—a pollutant that can affect the air we breathe and our health.

Every young orangutan learns in their own way. 🦧 Indri is always on the move, swinging from one tree to another, while Esa and Kayla prefer to take things a little slower, sharing quiet moments and cuddles with one another. #SaveOrangutans
