I captured a video of Tyler Robinson leaving the courthouse today in Provo, Utah - here’s the latest update from the hearing: The Judge ruled most of the defense’s motions cannot stay sealed and will most likely become public! The defense argued releasing them could hurt Tyler's right to a fair trial, but the judge said they didn’t provide enough justification to keep them private, siding mostly with transparency. The defense now has until March 30 to file redacted versions with only truly private information removed. Bottom line: more details about the case filings could soon become public! What's next? There will be a hearing on April 17th whether cameras and media equipment should be excluded from the courtroom. And the preliminary hearing is currently scheduled for May. The government isn't just surveilling us - it's making sure we know we're being surveilled. Privacy is freedom. Strip away privacy, and it's much easier to control people. Today, it's hard to go anywhere without being recorded. Cameras are everywhere, collecting images, video, and other data. The obvious question is: what is all of this data being used for? And now, the surveillance is moving into our cars. Congress passed a law that will require driver-monitoring systems in new passenger vehicles.
