The Russian Africa Corps and the Malian army have retaken control of the town of Anéfis as of the evening of July 8, loyalist troops have discovered charred vehicles belonging to the JNIM/FLA coalition. The rebel coalition appears to have withdrawn from the immediate vicinity of the town and camp of Anéfis due to the large reinforcement convoy arriving, escorted by drones of the Malian and Nigerien Air Forces.
