A Prayer for the Fallen Airmen Heavenly Father, Lord of hosts and comforter of the grieving, We come before You with heavy hearts to lift up the six brave U.S. Air Force crew members who gave their lives on March 12, 2026, when their KC-135 Stratotanker went down during a combat refueling mission over western Iraq. We especially remember Technical Sergeant Tyler Simmons of Columbus, Ohio — a dedicated boom operator with the 121st Air Refueling Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard — along with his two fellow Ohio Guardsmen and the three other crew members whose names have not yet been publicly released as families are still being notified. These sons, husbands, fathers, and brothers answered the call to serve. They flew into danger so others might be safe. Now they rest in Your eternal care. Lord, these heroes walked through that valley in the line of duty. Receive them now into Your green pastures. Wipe every tear from the eyes of their wives, children, parents, siblings, and comrades. Surround the entire 121st Air Refueling Wing and all who mourn with Your unshakable peace. Strengthen our nation to honor their sacrifice and comfort one another as only You can. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our risen Lord and Savior, Amen. May God hold these six heroes close and comfort every heart that aches for them tonight. 🙏
