WAITING ON TITLE 10 Orders from Joe Biden / Kamala Harris—directing SECDEF to redirect military assets for Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA). Lack of coordination, lack of proactive preparedness, lack of pre-planned responses… As a DSCA SME, I can tell you this is systemic. I founded a company 8yrs ago to bridge this gap, and NO University, City, State wanted to proactively identify their risks addressing Security/Weather/CBRN-E Disaster Threats. I was told, directly, that neither my 9 Executives nor I would ever receive investment in our company because we presented solutions to risk assessments—and this process would be more of a liability than the reactions to failures after a Mass Casualty event. MARYLAND—A Maersk cargo vessel struck the Francis Scott Key bridge in Baltimore. As a veteran Naval Officer who has spent thousands of hours as Officer of the Deck, I’m not sure how this happened? Any mariners out there witness this or monitoring B2B or—even better—Harbour Pilot FLHarborPilots, want to jump in on navigating this port? BACKGROUND— According to Bryan Boyle’s video tour (cited) of a Maersk cargo vessel bridge, they have detailed charts, ECDIS, Radar, two GPS for Nav…and their EYES…for navigation. It’s pretty hard to collide with a stationary target or landmass, but it happens. I’m to locate the lights/buoys that marked that specific bridge pile on the video, not seeing it? Was there one ever present? Finally, yes—cargo vessels often run on auto pilot, but someone is always on the bridge. They also don’t tent to run autopilot during transit near ports and busy costal waterways. They aren’t showing lights signifying engine, shaft or rudder failures/not under command (red over red).

VATICAN CITY—Pope Leo XIV condemns rise of antisemitism, on 60th anniversary of Church Declaration, Nostra Ætate: “It should not be forgotten that the first focus of Nostra Aetate was towards the Jewish world, with which Saint John XXIII intended to re-establish the original relationship. For the first time in the history of the Church, a doctrinal treatise on the Jewish roots of Christianity was to take shape, which on a biblical and theological level would represent a point of no return. A “bond … spiritually ties the people of the New Covenant to Abraham’s stock. Thus the Church of Christ acknowledges that, according to God’s saving design, the beginnings of her faith and her election are found already among the Patriarchs, Moses and the prophets” (Nostra Aetate, 4).
