Flying the flag for the Baltimore Ravens in England. Known special teams appreciator and article guy. Got some spare time? Let’s talk some ball! #RavensFlock

This call alone epitomizes the level of officiating the Ravens have been subjected to this season; it’s starting to feel disproportionate. Not only did the crew honor a late timeout, they also flagged Kyle Hamilton for roughing the passer on contact he couldn’t reasonably avoid.

As the crowd bellowed, “We’re ready, we’re ready for y’all,” they wrote a check the Falcons could not cash as the Ravens meandered down the field. This masterful drive took 7 minutes off the clock and forced Atlanta to burn both of their timeouts. They were, in fact, not ready!

As much as I can talk about disproportionate officiating, if a video of your team getting flagged runs longer than five minutes, there are issues. The fact of the matter is that the Ravens are under the microscope, but they have to get out of their own way and clean things up!

DK Metcalf’s push-off enabled him to haul in a 55-yard reception, while Zay Flowers had a touchdown wiped off last week for the same infraction. It cannot be one rule for one and another for someone else. If you’re going to call this penalty, it has to be applied fairly!

I know the Ravens defense will catch some flak for being inconsistent, but I want to give them credit for being at their best when it was needed. The walls didn’t cave in after the bad DPI call; instead, they fortified and held the Cowboys to three, keeping the game alive!
