Yesterday my Republican colleagues passed a bill to report professors for teaching “divisive concepts.” Instead of answering my questions, the sponsor questioned my literacy and talked about “people of my race.” Clearly his views were influenced by his segregated schooling.

Headed into another day of the special session and been informed that if I speak “off topic” I’ll be silenced by Speaker Sexton for 3 days. However, also heard that we may adjourn today because my Republican colleagues are feeling the pressure. We must protect kids, not guns.
