Tonight’s race to dinner: Condition - Thoroughbreds restricted from sprinting. Donkeys allowed max effort. 1st) Downy - Broke outward a beat slow, jogged into contention, rated quietly off the speed, sneaky outside move after dodging a tail, taunted rival 2nd) Lordy - Set a strong pace under stiff trot, got cocky on the lead, overtaken after a suspicious final effort 3rd) Fern - Kept closer to the pace, hindered by very tiny legs, finished willingly
