Marcus Freeman appeared on the Not Just Football show and Cam Heyward asked him about his hair which has been major discussion across social media and whether he “paints” it or not. Freeman took it in stride and said: “You can put a little magic in there to keep the lines sharp. You start thinning out in the corners you put a little enhancement in there.” He then followed it up jokingly with: “If there’s rain in the forecast I’m gonna put a hat on…you gotta be proactive not reactive.” 🤣 🎥 Not Just Football

Three years ago today the Notre Dame Football community lost a legend "The Voice of Notre Dame Football" (and my personal friend) Tony Roberts. In honor of the anniversary of his death today, I created this 13 min video of some of his most famous calls. Tony was the play-by-play announcer for the Fighting Irish from 1980-2006 and for myself and many others the voice of our childhoods. May you rest in eternal peace with God forever Tony. I'll see you on the other side my friend.

CJ Carr on last nights struggles against Wisconsin: “We knew this was gonna be a battle going into this game. Outside of this building (our building) there can be a narrative that it’s easy. That college football is easy and we should steam roll teams. The reality is that’s a really good Wisconsin team with some really good players” He went on to say: “Adjusting and staying consistent throughout the game was really helpful for us, and I think the whole team is excited about the outcome.” 🎥 Brendan Reidy WNDU

With ND Nation continuing to pray for Coach Lou Holtz and his family, it’s a great time to flashback to the 2009 Japan Bowl (at the Tokyo Dome) where Coach Lou Holtz came back to coach his former players in one last game. Lou Holtz led 57 of his former players to a 19-3 victory over the Japanese National Team. MVP of the game went to former RB Jay Vickers. Included in this video is two locker room speeches by Coach Holtz

Haters will say it’s fake but this was from Nick Saban’s own mouth. You know the guy they like to call the 🐐 of coaching “You deserve to be in the playoffs. Thats a playoff team. You didn’t make it. The system didn’t allow you to make it.”-Nick Saban

It was always destiny that Lou Holtz be the head football coach at Notre Dame. As he tells it, even when he excepted the job at Minnesota it was on the promise that if Minnesota excepted a bowl bid and Notre Dame came calling he was free to go but only to Notre Dame. No one expected him to turn around Minnesota as fast as he did. Minnesota excepted a bowl bid after just his second season and a week later Notre Dame came calling, but it didn’t come without stipulations as Fr Joyce told him “we don’t take transfers here. We don’t redshirt athletes. We don’t have an athletic dorm. We don’t have an athletic table. We’re gonna play the most difficult schedule we can find and we expect to win. The other thing we don’t change and it’s nonnegotiable is we have a policy that the head coach can’t make more than the President at Notre Dame.” Lou Holtz responded with “that doesn’t bother me.” He excepted the position and the rest is history! ☘️
