Forget the spin. The key point is simple: the IOPC reviewed the officers who handcuffed Henry Nowak as he lay dying and is still treating them as witnesses, saying there is no evidence of misconduct so far. So apparently two men stabbing nine people on a packed train, sending passengers running for their lives, isn’t being treated as a terror attack. Unbelievable. Counter-terrorism officers are involved, a whole town was locked down, and the Defence Secretary called it part of a “new era of threat” — but we’re told it’s not terrorism, just another “isolated incident.” If that’s the bar now, what exactly does count as terrorism?
