Pensacola-area resident Jacob Rockwell is challenging a $158 red-light camera citation issued after his vehicle was recorded passing through a red light in March 2026. The incident occurred at the westbound approach to 9th Avenue and Gregory Street in Pensacola. Rockwell says he was about 25 miles away in Seminole, Alabama, at the time, although another person was using his vehicle. A rare female pygmy hippo born at Berlin Zoo has been named Brötchen, the German word for “bread roll.” The calf, born on May 9, recently enjoyed her first outdoor bath under the watchful eye of her mother, Debbie. Zoo footage showed Brötchen wiggling her ears as she explored the water for the first time. At her latest weigh-in, Brötchen tipped the scales at 10 kilograms, or 22 pounds, nearly double her birth weight. The zoo said she is developing well and steadily gaining weight. Pygmy hippos are typically solitary animals, and Debbie will raise the calf on her own. Jordan made history as thousands of fans packed Amman’s ancient Roman Theatre to watch Al-Nashama compete in their first-ever FIFA World Cup. Jordan secured its place at the 2026 tournament after defeating Oman 3-0 in qualifying, ending a 40-year pursuit that began with the country’s first qualification campaign.
