I’ve covered and watched Taco and Caden Dowler since they were 10. To see both of them do what they’ve done on the football field over the years, and especially this year has been special. But for Taco do what he did, and the way it all went down on such a big stage, is almost impossible to comprehend. When you physically film someone playing the game they love from the time they’re in Little Guy Football, to catching a game winning TD in a National Championship game….leaves an impression on your soul. If this is a dream, I’m glad I haven’t woken up.

I’ve followed Brody’s exploits for years and always wanted to do some kind of story on him. Never did I think I would have this kind of opportunity. Brody is the genuine article, and entire family represents and embodies literally everything great about our state. I couldn’t be more grateful for them inviting me into their way of life. A lot of sleepless nights went into this…I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed putting it all together.

Full circle moment for Tommy Mellott and his high school football coach and former Bobcat, Arie Grey, last Saturday. Grey handing off the state flag to Tommy before their game against Idaho where Tommy torched the Vandals with 4 touchdowns. I sat down with Grey in 2022 for a feature story on Tommy before the FCS championship game where Grey talked about Tommy’s work ethic. This was one of many sound bites I didn’t have time to use, but knew it would come in handy down the road. Tommy is truly one of a kind, and the state of Montana is fortunate to call him their own.
