The pulse of a people…. Ireland’s earliest St Patrick’s Day parade has taken place in Dingle (6am). A tradition dating back to the Land War of 1880s when the British authorities tried to prevent parades, banning gatherings “between sunrise and sunset.”

A new location is being searched by the army & Gardaí in the Mike Gaine homicide case in Kenmare. It’s known that slurry from Gaine’s shed was disposed of in this general area when the slurry tanks were being emptied in the initial days of the search for the Kerry farmer.
