If you are going to see Noah Kahan in Fenway this week you are in for one. An artist in his prime immersed in his most emo locale of New England (Kahan is from Vermont). It is, undoubtedly, the best place to see him. His songwriting, voice, energy, showmanship, will never be better than it is now. He played 13 songs from his new album and the crowd knew all the words. When many artists play new songs at concerts people go to the bathroom. Kahan fans are TRUE fans. His dark, expressive features and easy charm fills Fenway--and he has a great rapport with his excellent band. "Paul Revere", "Orange Juice", ect. He played 26 songs in the rain and they all went over the monster (Except "Downfall"--one of my favs on new album. Needs to be more intimate, IMO) There were brief chit chats, great pacing, NO POLITICS, and fireworks at the end. A celebration of his sincere gratitude with a New England video travel log behind him. The video screens and backdrops were artfully and tastefully done. Smart, fun, energetic, production. This young generation of New Englanders has their James Taylor. (I would have loved to hear a JT cover last night.) A voice for a generation that will have staying power. Bravo, Noah Kahan

I believe it's Bussi's net until he loses--and if he loses 1-0 tonight with 33 saves, it might still might be his net for Game 6. The dude went 31-6-2 in the regular season. NHL story of the year. Disney stuff.

When you see someone think of doing something..then pulling it off with a competitive swag..that's special. Bedard (LOOK at him turn the toe of his stick over making this pass. Freakish) Carlsson, and Fantilli are all playing with vigor/confidence in this offensive era the NHL/its referees have done a good job of ushering in over the last decade

This goal is the definition of Brad Marchand's Hall of Fame career: 1) Anticipation. (Faceoff ready) 2) Hockey sense coupled with determination. On your toes. 3) he's an elite puck protector (boxes out Elkholm). He always VALUES the puck. 4) Professional, fit hands. His strength training, and concentration/determination picks spots with precision.

10th shot on goal for Michigan State's Isaac Howard nets his 22nd goal of the season. The Tampa Bay Lightning 1st rounder is one behind Ryan Leonard's 22 for most in NCAA Ice Hockey. Howard leads the nation in points. He turns 21 in March. Michigan St up 6-1. #CawlidgeHawkey

#1 Boston College beats BU, 2-0. Ryan Leonard empty netter. 1G 1A. Leonard now 19-8-27 in 23 games. Leonard and Isaac Howard have a good Hobey Baker race going. Jacob Fowler 6th shutout this year. His college record at BC is now 49-9-2. He's NHL caliber. The Canadiens Montréal have some goalie depth!!

My eyes were wet from start to finish. I thought of being little in a big world & watching my son's first tries at this mad game. ESPN's Open to the NHL season is beautiful. I didn't expect to cry today-this is stunning. There's nothing like this sport. We at ESPN love the sport as you do. ❤️ Enjoy.

Cold beers and hearty laughs in smokey cigar bars. A razor sharp wit, he was always early & looked like a million bucks. I love him. I'll miss him. Wayne Gretzky on a life dedicated to hockey

The definitive Johnny Gaudreau forever young hockey moment. 12 years ago. He's 18 years old. Ices the 2012 NCAA Championship game. Comically quick feet, hands, and brain. His comp for me was always Allen Iverson--I covered both in college. Impossibly small and skinny (JG MIGHT be 140 pounds here) yet dominated the game and had GIGANTIC respect from his peers. Gaudreau was looked at as a freak and a savant who thought and played the game quicker than everyone else because he had to. Look at his face here--pure joy. A unique Christmas decoration who lit up the game whenever he hit the ice. With Johnny Gaudreau, there was always the possibility of a moment like this. An electric star who made the sport better by his art yet was grounded in his foundational principle: a big, loving family and countless friends is more important than anything. Humility and humanity personified. A son, brother, husband, father, and friend. For life.
