Giannis was asked about the 65-game rule for regular-season awards: "I'll be honest with you. Through 13 years of being in the league I think I've played 65 games every year. I'm still going to try. I think I'm still going to play 65 games, but it's hard. If you want to be a really good player, help your team get deep in the playoffs, and then come back at it and play 65 games again. I've been All-NBA the last 9 years in a row— 7 times first team. It's hard to be consistent. Just putting that rule there, it doesn't give you a break. The margin of error is hard, like you get one injury and you're off the race. I might not make it. Jokic might not make it. LeBron's not going to make it. Wemby might not make it. "I was all for it because it could benefit me at first but as I get older I'm like 'ah take it off, take it off', but these are the rules and you just gotta play by the rules. Who's going to be available, just Shai? So it's up in the air."

Giannis with the quote of the season: "Are we 11th in the East or 12th? We just gotta keep finding our identity. If we need to get a little scrappy at the end, so be it. We're not the champs. Why should we have 'play the clock out and have respect and fair play', like we're fighting for our lives right now. "This is real talk. I've been 13 years in the league. If we keep on losing brother, probably half of the team won't be here, we're not going to make the playoffs. I really don't care. I just want to be available, be healthy and help my team win. And if [the windmill dunk] is what has to happen for everyone to wake up and understand we are fighting for our lives and we gotta get our hands dirty, then so be it."

Reporter to Giannis: "How did you get [LeBron's] jersey?" Giannis: "I just asked for it. You never know. Might be our last game against one another. I hadn't played him since 2022. He had a couple of injuries [since] that time. Had the opportunity in 2026, 4 years later to play against him. So I just asked him, I said 'hey can I have the jersey', he's like 'yeah that's yours'.

Giannis says Kobe taught him that your biggest weakness is often your biggest strength: Giannis [to Kobe]: “What’s your weakness?” Kobe: “I’m an asshole” Giannis: “What’s your strength?” Kobe: “I’m an asshole. I don’t give a fuck” Giannis’ greatest weakness that is also his strength? He’s stubborn. “I’m really really stubborn. If I say I’m going to do this, I’m gonna do it no matter what, [even] if it’s right/wrong I’m gonna do it.” “But what’s my strength? I’m so stubborn that I’m gonna get it done.” (🎥 Thanalysis Show)

Giannis says repeatedly that dead legs can't be an excuse for himself and the Bucks: "I don't think it's dead legs. Dead legs cannot be [the issue]. How old is Mike Conley?" Reporter: "37, 38." Giannis: "Oh shit I thought he was like 41. 37? He was moving faster than me. That cannot be an excuse. Cannot be an excuse. Dead legs cannot be an excuse. We have to be better."

More Giannis on Wemby: "At one time, [Victor Wembanyama] is going to be in his final level, and then he's going to be a nightmare. And I hope when that is, I'm out of the league, retired. But also, because I'm a competitor, I would love playing against the best. I would love to see and face that final stage before I'm too old." "Because you want to have that on your resume. You want to play against the best. Like I can say I've played against Kobe, LeBron, KD, Steph, Jokic, Wemby, and a lot of other players. You want to have it on your resume— sign of respect. When I have four kids, I'll be able to sit down on the couch and watch the clips with them and say like 'I played against that guy. One time I dunked on him, one time I blocked him, but many other times he got me.'"

Giannis shut down a reporter that asked if he wants to be in Milwaukee: "I'm here. I'm here. I'm here. Don't ask me that question. I'm here. It's disrespectful towards myself and my teammates. I wear that jersey every single day. Disrespectful towards the organization, my coaching staff and all of the people that work hard for me to come out here and say 'I don't want to be here'. Don't ask me that question. I'm here, I'm putting on the jersey. And as long as I'm here I'm going to give everything I have, even in the last second of the game."

Giannis with some more perspective on what’s ahead: “Tomorrow is going to be January 1st, right? We’re 11th in the East. My whole career we’ve had winning seasons. January to February before the [All-Star] break, you gotta stack up wins and we have a tough schedule.” “I don’t think people understand— this can make us or break us. I don’t want to break, I want to be made. As a leader, gotta keep myself accountable, keep on trying to do the right thing, keep on moving the ball. I gotta playmake more, and just hope that can inspire people to follow and try to do the right thing.”

More Myles: "I'm not where I want to be. My impact is greater than what the numbers may show. But I know that I'm not a finished product here whatsoever. Still working to be a better version of myself. There's things I gotta do better. Rebound better. Take accountability there."

Doc roasted Shams to the point where he went crying to the Bucks and NBA about it 💀 "Remember when I said Giannis should trade Shams? Shams took that so personally, that he actually called the Bucks and yelled at them to take it down. It was a mess. The NBA calls the Bucks and are like 'Shams wanted us to tell you this but we really don't care'. And then the NBA posted it." "I've heard from 10 different people that have said 'Shams is going to do a revenge article on you guys and on you.' And I was like 'Ok, I don't care.'” "[Shams] is very tight, he's very young, and emotional, but hopefully he'll grow." (📽️ Run It Back)

Ryan Rollins loved Giannis' windmill dunk at the end of the game: "Set the tone. I love it. I love him doing that. I'm not mad at it at all. I love even after the fact too when [the Bulls] tried to press him, our whole team came out and we backed up Gianni so, I love it man."
