Lake Erie has become a winter wasteland. We hiked to the outer harbor breakwall tonight for sunset in sub zero temperatures. As luck would have it a 20’ snow drift gave us access to scale the ice encased structure. The view from the top of the wall was just incredible. #NYwx

Ringing in the New Year with our 5th THUNDERSNOW event of the season! Dozens of strikes were observed near the Lackawanna wind farm this evening. This nasty lake effect snow band brought 3”/hr snowfall rates and blinding whiteouts for the commute home. #NYwx
