I have joined the delegation led by H.E. Ibrahim Farah, Vice President of the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia, in paying a courtesy call on the Speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya, Rt. Hon. Dr. Moses Wetang’ula. Our discussions centered on further strengthening the longstanding bilateral relations between Ethiopia and Kenya and exploring new avenues of cooperation for the mutual benefit of our two nations. Following the meeting, we visited the National Assembly of Kenya, where our presence was formally recognized during the parliamentary session. During the session, several Members of Parliament warmly commended Ethiopia’s remarkable transformation. The House Minority Leader, Hon. Junet Mohamed, praised the beauty and rapid development of Addis Ababa, describing it as “the New Dubai of Africa.” Similarly, the Majority Leader, Hon. Kimani Ichung’wah, applauded the impressive large-scale developments taking place across Ethiopia, particularly in Addis Ababa.

Under the visionary leadership of H. E. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, the Ethiopian Air Force has undergone a remarkable transformation. The only African country never colonized, she triumphed at Adwa and has always stood tall in her independence. She is the cradle of humanity, where ‘Lucy’ was discovered, and the birthplace of coffee that awakens the world. Ethiopia’s unique alphabet, 13-month calendar, and more than 80 languages embody a culture as vibrant as her history. Her mountains touch the sky, her rivers carve deep valleys, and the Blue Nile roars at Tis Issat. Spiritually, she holds one of the world’s oldest Christian traditions, a proud Jewish heritage, and was among the first to embrace Islam. Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, Ethiopia shines as she builds the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam—Africa’s largest hydropower project—harnessing the Nile to light her future and uplift her people. This is more than the victory of Adwa; it is a victory for generations yet to come. Ethiopia is ancient, unbroken, and forever rising!
