Nigerian rapper Scooby Nero boasts of owning multiple RDPs which he rents out to South African families Nigerian-born rapper, currently living in South Africa for over a decade Scooby Nero has claimed on social media that he owns multiple RDP houses in South Africa and rents them out to local families. RDP houses are government-built homes provided under South Africa’s Reconstruction and Development Programme (RDP), a policy introduced in 1994 after apartheid. They were meant to give poor and previously disadvantaged South Africans access to basic housing, especially people who had been denied property ownership under apartheid. These houses are typically small, free-standing units built on serviced land, and are given free of charge to qualifying beneficiaries, usually low-income citizens who have never owned property before. The artist, whose real name is Chibuzor Nelson Nwankwo, has been living in South Africa for several years and built a name for himself in underground hip-hop circles, particularly in the Eastern Cape and Gauteng. In a now widely shared post, Scooby Nero didn’t hold back. “Nigerians done buy 80% of RDP houses finish. Your parents pay rent to me, while you are threatening me on Facebook. I am about to evict your family,” he wrote. Scooby Nero later doubled down, claiming his comments were a response to ongoing hate directed at Nigerians living in South Africa. He suggested he was being targeted unfairly and lashed out at critics, framing the issue as part of a broader wave of xenophobia. The uproar comes at a tense time, following reports of the controversial and allegedly illegal crowning of a “Nigerian king” in Gompo, outside East London an incident that has already raised questions about foreign nationals establishing unofficial authority structures in local communities.

Andile Mpisane beats Inno Morolong black and blue in nightclub row! Inno Morolong’s night out with the girls ends in violence after Andile Mpisane said to have beat her to a pulp. A night meant for healing and sisterhood reportedly spiraled into chaos when South African reality TV star Inno Morolong stepped out with close friends on Monday evening, 6 April, at the upscale Booth Nightclub. According to a close friend of the victim, the media personality had hoped to lift her spirits following the heartbreaking loss of her mother, who recently passed away after a battle with cancer. But what began as a much-needed girls’ night out in Sandton allegedly took a shocking turn. Insiders claim the trouble started when one of Morolong’s friends caught the attention of Durban personality Andile Mpisane, the high-profile son of wealthy businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize, popularly known as “Mam’Mkhize.” Morolong reportedly stepped in, politely asking Mpisane to give them space, insisting the group simply wanted to enjoy a drama-free evening without male attention. However, witnesses allege that tensions quickly escalated. What followed was a heated verbal exchange, with claims that Mpisane insulted Morolong by referencing her late mother - a move that allegedly pushed the grieving star over the edge. In retaliation, Morolong is said to have fired back with a shocking insult directed at Mpisane’s mother. From there, the situation turned physical. Sources claim Mpisane lost his temper, allegedly assaulting Morolong in full view of clubgoers. The altercation reportedly saw her dragged across the floor, her clothing disheveled, and her chest exposed during the chaos. Even more disturbing, insiders say she sustained injuries, including bleeding gums - particularly concerning as she had recently undergone cosmetic dental work abroad. Security personnel at the club are said to have rushed in to break up the fight, but by then, the scene had already turned “bloody and ugly,” according to eyewitnesses. "It was really bad. No matter what happened, Andile should not have laid a hand on a woman," the source said. "It's disgraceful and Inno needs to seek justice." Shaken and in tears, Morolong reportedly fled the venue and returned home, fearing for her safety. She is now said to be preparing to open a case with Sandton police, determined to seek justice following the alleged incident. Neither party has publicly commented at the time of publication - but if these explosive claims are confirmed, this could become one of Sandton’s most scandalous celebrity showdowns yet.
