as some of you may know, i have a recurring segment on my socials where i visit different gay bars across new york to assess whether these places are “where the gays are.” most recently, i visited the club ANIMAL and failed in my mission to deliver a proper review, as the club was entirely too packed, the gays entirely too hungry, and the humidity entirely too overwhelming. this is my only proof of the evening.

i’ve been on a mission to visit every gay bar in nyc to see where the gays actually frequent, so last night i visited a fallen soldier in the lineup of gay bars overrun by heterosexuality: playhouse. surprisingly, it was more of a good time than i expected, but alas, the ratio of straight people is overpowering, like a heavy wet blanket to a dimming rainbow. consider this video my attempt to rebalance the scales.

in my devout initiative to visit every gay bar in new york city to see where the gays are actually going out, i have made the trek (to one of my favorite gay bars), the rosemont for their weekly zoo fest. as part of my research, i drank, danced, and did what i do best: people watch. unlike certain bars that shall not be named, the rosemont is actually queer inclusive. i definitely recommend!

had no much luck finding gay bars down in peru (i’m trying to continue the series while on vacation) and i ended up at a semi less fun, metrosexual oasis for the queer adjacent folk. overall, a weirdly positive experience. life is real gamble when you’re not sure if everybody gay or nobody gay.
