I’ve deadlifted twice every week for over 6 months now and only once have I hurt my back. I was attempting a new weight (210kg / 463lbs) and got stuck halfway. Instead of dropping it I yanked it up. Compounded by trying a second time and missing. It was my fault, not the lift’s fault. Just had a bad day. I hit 500lbs 6 weeks later. Own it. Fix it. Move on.

Today’s deadlift offering. +1 rep from last week. 195kg / 430lb x 4. I waste so much energy getting into the correct position in that first rep, need to fix this asap. I know all the cues, just need to make it happen. Another attempt to get 5 next week. Onwards >>>

Deadlift day. Been sweating like a pig all weekend with some kind of fever so kept it lighter today. 182.5kg / 405lb for 7. Which is +2 on my last set at this weight. Felt nice. Adding 5kg a week until Christmas then hoping to beat PR of 200x3. Keep grinding 💪
