It is not the job of California State representatives to “protect the voices of every single American,” especially when you are failing the people you were elected to serve. California is burning with active wildfires. Over 800,000 residents still lack access to clean drinking water. We pay the highest gas prices and the highest gas taxes in the nation. Two major refineries are set to shut down next year, threatening jobs, supply, and affordability. Our students rank near the bottom in education. We lead the nation in homelessness. And yet, you and the Democrats who control the State Capitol want to posture about “fighting” for the “voices of Americans.” Here’s an idea: do your job first. Start by protecting the voices, livelihoods, and futures of Californians, before grandstanding about everyone else.
