He then adds: "That’s not exactly the type of history I think anybody wants to see us repeating." Wait — which part of that history don’t you want repeated, Chuck? Enforcing civil rights? Or the federal government stepping in when state leaders refused? Of course, what Todd’s actually doing is casually and reflexively trying to tie Trump to the villainous Southern governors — when the analogous role is obviously Newsom here.
